Setting up a CodeIgniter project in SVN
Only because I know I’m gonna have to use this… well I already am, but apparently not with the right setup, here’s a post on CodeIgniter.com on how to setup your project best in SVN.
Setting up SSL certificates and SVN
K, well this is just a place for me to check back on in future if (or when) I need to do this again…
Creating Certificate Authorities and self-signed SSL certificates
And here is how subversion server was setup:

Got an insect problem?
Holy poop…

“Photos of a mammoth spider devouring a bird in a Queensland backyard are sweeping email inboxes — and according to experts, it’s all real.
The photos — which are reported to have been taken this week in Atherton, west of Cairns — show the spider clenching its legs around a lifeless bird trapped in a web.”
Mod Rewrite not working [solved]
Ok, so it took a fair while to sort this out, but no matter what I did with .htaccess, I couldn’t get the URL’s for this site to be SEF.
It seemed as if the mod_rewrite module wasn’t being loaded, but when I checked the config… it definitely was getting loaded.
In the end, all i needed to do was to make sure that I had the following set in my httpd.conf file:
AllowOverride All
It was previously set to AllowOverride None
Not entirely sure of the consequences of this, but hey the site’s (and all other dev sites on the server) working now!
Todays funny

And it’s back
It’s been a looooong time since I’ve had a blog running, so long I’ve actually los tall of my old posts, so will be starting from scratch.
All I’m gonna do here really is post randomness, and maybe jot down stuff here that I might find usefull later on down the track so if you get some use from it, ood for you, if you don’t… I don’t really care!
Anywho… it’s about time for bed now anyway, so I’m outta here.
